We, Carol and me, Steve, live in North Wales where we have lived for just over 8 years. We have previously travelled extensively around Europe and Australia with my job as an IT consulant.
Our first Goldie was Cassie who we had when we lived in France, see our section on Cassie for more about that story. We had our second Goldie in the UK whilst living in Northamptonshire, we took her to Sweden when we moved there back in 2005. Ellie loved Sweden sadly she contracted nose cancer there and died at the age of about 9, it took a long time to have another Goldie in our life after that.
We moved from Sweden to Wales and immediately settled there and plucked up the courage to have Poppy in our life she was re-homed from a breeder and was lovely but was older at 7 years old. We had an extraordinary chance to have another Goldie only a few months later and took it. Enter Mia or as we love to call her “Manic Mia” see the Mia section for why she’s called that.
Sadly Poppy died in 2016 it was very quick she was active to the end and had been chasing birds down the beach at Shell Island only a few days earlier. A couple of years later just as Mia was getting used to being number one we contacted Mias’ previous owners about having one of her pups, read the Darcey section for that story. So now we have had Darcey for nearly 4 years and she is adorable we have decided to have some pups with her and that is where we are now in Lockdown North Wales in January.
